The Procedure
The procedure will take about five minutes. Your chest and lower legs will be shaved in small areas, if necessary, and cleaned with a liquid abrasive and alcohol. Sponge pads called electrodes will be attached to your legs, arms, and six places on your chest. The technician will ask you to lie still during the recording. You will feel only the electrodes during the procedure and they will be removed when the procedure is complete. Your primary care physician will be notified of the results.
